1st Annual Save the Date!
Free Music Event!
SATURDAY JUNE 2, 2018 12-4PM
(Rain date Sunday June 3rd)
Welcome to the first annual Newton PorchFest!
What is Porchfest?

PorchFest is an afternoon of free music performed outside of people’s homes. Auburndale is the inaugural village,* but we’re hoping the event spreads to all Newton villages. Over 100 cities across the country hold PorchFests. Now Newton is holding one too!

On Saturday, June 2nd from noon to 4 PM, that often underused space, the front porch, (driveways and lawns too!) will become the stage for bands, singers, and instrumentalists. We hope to attract a diverse range of local talent from country to pop, classical, reggae, blues, rock, jazz, Latin, R&B, and more. All musicians, professionals, amateurs, and everything in between, perform voluntarily at a designated time and location. Attendees stroll from venue to venue throughout Auburndale, in order to hear the music of their choice.

How Can You Help?

This is a grassroots effort. We’ll need local porch owners and musicians, but first we need to raise funds to cover the cost of PorchFest.

Please via PayPal... Any and all donations are welcome! (Donations of $100 or more made prior to March 1, will be acknowledged on this web page and Newton PorchFest’s official map, distributed on the day of the event.)

Sign-ups for porch owners and musicians will open in early March, 2018. In the meantime, let us know that you’re officially interested, so we can get back to you. Questions? Want to join our mailing list? Please contact us: newton.porchfest@gmail.com

*If you live in another Newton village and are inspired to participate, (that means spearhead a committee of like-minded organizers, and fundraise in your village) please contact us prior to January 1st.

Thank you in advance for your support of Newton’s first annual PorchFest,
